Just talk about everyday life and you can find the humor in it. It's your life and everyday, something happens that is goofy or humorous. That is what drives Doug Thompson’s comedy and that philosophy has led to a nationwide theater tour as the opening act for The Impractical Jokers including venues like The Ryman Theater (original Grand Ole' Opry) in Nashville, "The Wild West Comedy Festival,” and Hard Rock Live at Universal Studios in Orlando just to name a few.
One of the highlights of his career was being approached by Vince Vaughn backstage after Doug's performance in Nashville. Vince extended his hand out grabbed Doug's hand and said, "I really enjoyed your set." Gulp!
Doug's comedy incorporates impressions, parenting, marriage, and how damn easy these kids today have it. His impressions landed him a Top 5 finalist on The Bob and Tom Show’s impressionist competition. Doug often brings out the guitar for some parodies of today and past hits.
Doug was recently featured on his own Dry Bar comedy special which has garnered nearly a million total views.
